(click on images to enlarge) I tried different water temperatures, and density's of the medium, as well as black for the first time. It's hard to see the black against the black, adds to the mysteriousness. I'm going to mix up some white and an 18% gray this week.
(click to enlarge) I tried something different today, much more trickier to shoot. I'm trying to get the two injections to combine underwater for a new shape in the series.
(click to enlarge) Last week I changed mediums in the water, and decided it didn't look as elegant as this medium. So this week, I am back to create more macro images to complete the series. Thanks to Notcot, and Design42day for posting my work. Cheers.
(click on images to enlarge) This is my most recent photo series, shot with a macro lens. I was inspired by the challenge of taking a free flowing form and capturing its organic transformations underwater. While the subject matter was only 4 inches tall, the substances take on shapes and life of their own. Every person finds their own object in these peculiar formations.
I am an advertising photographer living in Detroit, trying to make it a decent place to live. For at least myself...I graduated from College for Creative Studies in 99 with a BFA in photography. I am always looking for something interesting to photograph and put my mark on. Currently I am making a documentary with 2 friends about America's first sports bar in Detroit. I have been involved with the movie industry for a few years now in Michigan, shooting castings. When I am not behind a camera, I am an avid motorcyclist/builder, and home brewer.
This is some of my Non-Commercial work that I'd like to share with some of my clients and friends. Some of it might be more fine art based, and some just might just be some interesting sights along my days.
